Ryan Walsh is the director and cinematographer for this documentary series. Ryan grew up in Michigan, spending as much time as he could in nature and there, found a love for the outdoors. After graduating from college, he moved west to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in television. He landed a job working on Discovery Channel's “Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe,” which allowed him to travel around the country, exposing him to many different ways of life. He learned to appreciate these different ways that people live. He has shot a handful of documentaries, and has been lucky to work with renowned directors James Cameron and Eli Roth. He worked a total of five years with Stan, going back and forth to Alaska, and hopes to continue to do so for as long as possible.

Kari Pickering is the producer for this series. She grew up in San Jose, California and moved to Los Angeles after high school. She is an actor and writer as well. Kari has always been a city girl, but meeting Ryan opened her eyes to a new world of interests and hobbies. Together they have backpacked up the Napali Coast, explored dozens of national and state parks, and travelled internationally to learn about other cultures and traditions. Kari remembers visiting Ryan in Tanana when he first started working with Stan. It was like being on another planet, but being the adventurous person she is, Kari embraced the experience. Visiting Tanana and meeting Stan has also shaped her into a more thoughtful person, and she’s extremely excited to help bring this project to life.
